Driver Sought By Police

Police yesterday still sought information about the driver of a taxi which struck a woman in Colombo street at 5.40 p.m. on Wednesday. The injured woman, Mrs Christine Wadsworth, of 40 Memorial avenue, Timaru, is still in the Christchurch Public Hospital recovering from a head injury and concussion. Her condition yesterday was reported to be satisfactory. The driver of the taxi had not reported to the police when the permissible 24 hours were up at 5.40 p.m. yesterday. Anyone who might be able to assist the police in their inquiries is asked to contact the motor accident inquiries branch at the Central Police Station.
