Eisenhower Unable To Visit Britain

(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, November 12. The Prime Minister (Mr Macmillan) told the House of Commons today that the British Government “would much welcome a return visit to this country by the President of the United States.’* He added: “I know that the President is aware of this. He has, however, informed me that to his great regret he cannot make such a visit on this particular occasion.” Mr Macmillan was answering questions from members as to whether President Eisenhower could visit Britain after his visit to Paris for the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation council meeting.
