“Aggravation Of Tension”
(N.Z Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON. Nov. 6 Russia’s new Defence Minister, Marshal Rodion Malinovsky, tonight accused “imperialist circles” of aggravating international tension. Moscow Radio “eported. In an Order of the Day marking the fortieth anniversary of the Russian revolution, the Marshal said the Soviet forces were equipped, with the most modern' weapons and techniques. Russia’s policy of peace was supported by all peace-loving people, he said. “But the reactionary imperialist forces rely on a policy pt strength and aggravated tension.”
Russia, he said, was making up rapid steps in scientific progress, but it could not lose sight of the fact that “imperialist circles relying on their policy of positions of strength are aggravating international tension.”
Marshal Malinovsky said the armed forces were at the high level demanded by the security of the Soviet State.
