PRESBYTERIAN PRINTING
Own Press To Be In Christchurch
The General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand yesterday approved of the establishing of a printing press in Christchurch. The press will handle all church publications and printing including the production of the “Outlook,” the Presbyterian Church newspaper. Capital costs, it is estimated, are well within the means of the Church. From an examination of working costs and projected turnover it is expected that the capital outlay will be repaid within a reasonable period, after ’ which time surpluses will be available to the Church. The assembly recommended that the capital outlay should be met. if possible, by a loan from the fire insurance fund and that the publications committee investigate means of raising the rest of the finance.
