WIGRAM MOTOR RACING
With entries assured from some of the world's most famous motor drivers, the international event for the Lady Wigram trophy in January should live up to the high standard of skill seen in the race in the last few years. Final arrangements with overseas drivers have yet to be made, but already it seems certain that the two widely-known Englishmen. the dashing Archie ScottBrown. and Stuart Lewis-Evans, will come to Christchurch for the. race. Scott-Brown will bring a Lister-Jaguar and Lewis-Evans a Connaught. Other drivers who may visit Christchurch to take part in the race are Roy Salvador! (Connaught), Jack Brabham (Connaught), and Ivor Bueb (Maserati ). Both Carol Shelby, the United States driver, and the German ace, Wolfgang von Tripps, may also drive at Wigram. Two New Zealand drivers will appear in high-class machines. R. L. Duncan, of Auckland, has a recently-imported Connaught, and P. M. Hoare, of Christchurch, has a 3-litre Ferrari.
