RIGHT: The Christchurch (St. Matthew’s) Cadet Ambulance Division’s new flag being handed by Mr J. H. Rhodes, Knight of Justice of the Venerable Order of St. John, to the flag-bearer, Corporal B. J. Geddes. The flag, which was dedicated by the Bishop of Christchurch, is unique among cadet divisions in New Zealand and was paid for by money earned by the boys in the group.
