FUEL AND POWER MINISTRY
Suggestion By English Expert (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. October 30. “I believe the economy of New Zealand can well support the setting up of a Ministry of Fuel and Power to relate the uses of electrical power, thermal power—steam, coal oil —and gas to the best advantace of the country as a whole.” said Mr R. G. F. Murrav. a petroleum company technical executive, of London, today.
Mr Murray, who has been inspecting the main power developments. gas and other industrial undertakings in New Zealand, said it would be the purpose of such an authority to co-ordinate fuel and energy uses on a long-term level.
