HOW TO MAKE MILLIONS
Advice Of Paul Getty (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, October 28. Mr Paul Getty, rated as America’s richest man—he once “retired” with a fortune when he was only 23—today revealed some secrets for making millions. The 64-year-old American oil king advocated an adventurous spirit, imagination and courage as the main essentials needed for making money. Ostensibly he is on a sightseeing trip to Britain, but the desk in the suite of his London hotel is littered with letters, cablegrams and papers. Mr Getty, whose bank balance has been estimated at somewhere between £250 million and £357 million, claims that making a million today is easier than it was 40 years ago. But does money buy happiness? “No—other things being equal, a man is more likely to be happy
if he is making a modest success in what he is doing.” Mr Getty—five times divorced —said he had had worries all his life—business worries.
