Land For Is
The Taieri County Council intends to sell a valuable property at Brighton for Is. The “buyer" will be the Taieri branch of the Plunket Society. The council originally intended to sell the property to the branch for £5OO. and later give £5OO to the branch for its work; but the council learned that all proceeds from the sale had to be used on other public reserves in the county. Legally.; the price can be fixed at Is. and that money used on other reserves.
