Cause Believed To Be Known
’Rec. 11.30 p.m.) LONDON. October 29 The cause of the accident at the Windscale atomic works is known and ran be guarded against in the future, according to Chapman Pincher. the "Daily Express" science reporter. He said the Atomic Energy Authority had decided that the giant uranium furnace which caught fire in the accident was too badly damaged for further use in producing atomic explosive. This means a loss of about £3 million and a cut of onethird in the output of atom bombs.
