Residence Bought In Wellington “The Press” Special Service WELLINGTON. October 22. The large home of Mrs B. Sutherland, “Homewood." in Karori, has been bought by the United Kingdom as an official residence for its High Commissioner in New Zealand. “Homewood” is one of the finest homes in Wellington, standing in three acres of attractive lawns and gardens. The late Mr B. Sutherland and his wife frequently opened the grounds for charitable fetes and they took special pride in their greenhouses. The residence has several reception rooms and a ballroom. From the windows there are attractive views of the spread of gardens.
