PUBLIC NOTICES SELWYN COUNTY COUNCIL BY-LAW TO CONTROL SIGNS AND HOARDINGS NOTICE is hereby given that in exercise of the powers conferred on it by “The Counties Act, 1956.” and "The Standards Act, 1941,’* and amendments thereto, the Selwyn County Council, at a Special Meeting held for the purpose on Monday, 14th October, 1957, passed a resolution by way of Special Order to make a by-law to be known as Selwyn County Signs and Hoardings Bylaw, No. 1, 1957. The object and purport of the proposed by-law being as follows: To provide a by-law governing the erection and licensing of Signs and Hoardings within the County by adopting Part 25 of the N.Z. Standard Code of General By-laws, dated May, 1954 (N.Z.S.S. 791), and the Introductory Pamphlet pertaining to the said N.Z. Standards Code of General By-laws. A full copy of this by-law is deposited at the Selwyn County Council Office, Hororata, and is open for the inspection of the public during office hours without fee.
