PUBLIC NOTICES SELWYN COUNTY COUNCIL BY-LAW TO CONTROL SIGNS AND HOARDINGS NOTICE is hereby given that in exercise of the powers conferred on it by “The Counties Act, 1956.” and "The Standards Act, 1941,’* and amendments thereto, the Selwyn County Council, at a Special Meeting held for the purpose on Monday, 14th October, 1957, passed a resolution by way of Special Order to make a by-law to be known as Selwyn County Signs and Hoardings Bylaw, No. 1, 1957. The object and purport of the proposed by-law being as follows: To provide a by-law governing the erection and licensing of Signs and Hoardings within the County by adopting Part 25 of the N.Z. Standard Code of General By-laws, dated May, 1954 (N.Z.S.S. 791), and the Introductory Pamphlet pertaining to the said N.Z. Standards Code of General By-laws. A full copy of this by-law is deposited at the Selwyn County Council Office, Hororata, and is open for the inspection of the public during office hours without fee. The resolution will be submitted for confirmation at a subsequent meeting of the Council, to be held in the Council Chambers, Hororata, on Monday, 11th November, 1957, at which meeting the date the proposed by-law shall come into force will be fixed.
