Wool Sales

(New Zealand Press Association) (Rec. 8 p.m.) GEELONG, Oct. 22. There was a marked increase from all sections at the Geelong wool sale today. AH prices moved in the sellers’ favour with all topmarkings and comebacks and fine crossbreds showing the most improvement. There was a 96 per cent, clearance of the 16.700 bales offered.

Crossbred prices: 60/64’s super, 106 d; 56’s good to super, 90d; 50’s super, 84d. A full clearance of 19,021 bales was reported from the Brisbane wool sale today. There was good widespread competition, with the Continent dominating the bidding, supported by Japan, Britain. America, and local mills, Values were generally firm on yesterday’s rulings.
