South American Whisky.— The Fabrica de Licores de Cundinamarca, owned by the Departmental Government of Cundinamarca, in Colombia, has undertaken experiments with the production of whisky under the direction of a French expert Under present import restrictions, whisky and other alcoholic beverages are completely forbidden, and it is therefore to some extent necessary that the country tries to produce as much as possible. The first experiments have used barley grown in Colombia and fresh water from a spring at the outskirts of Bogota.—Bogota (Colombia).
