Dr. Herbert Noehring. Minister in New Zealand for the German Federal Republic, will visit Christchurch on November 5. He will meet members of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce and inspect several factories.

Mr D. A. Bryan, senior United Kingdom Trade Commissioner in New Zealand, will be visiting Christchurch from November 4 to 8, during which he will visit factories.

Mr E. A. Gibson, the former Director of Civil Aviation, has been elected the first life member of the Commercial Pilots’ Association.

Mr George Gair, Auckland public relations officer, has resigned. He is to go into private practice as a public relations consultant. Mr Gair joined the office five and a half years ago, and has been in charge of it since 1953.

Mr W. B. Bray, of Leeston, who has been an advocate of Social Credit for 25 years, left by the Rangitiki last Friday for England, where he will give evidence to the Radclifte Commission, which is investigating the working of the British financial system.

Mr Ray Vicker, a special feature writer of the Chicago section of the “Wall Street Journal,” will visit Christchurch for 10 days from December 1 during a three-month tour of the Pacific. Mr Vicker is writing special articles on the commercial, economic, and political life in the areas he visits. His tour is being assisted by the United States State Department. ■
