Chemistry Institute Officers
The Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Institute of Chemistry will devote its accumulated funds to the encouragement of the subject. The annual meeting decided last evening that its committee should consider paying the expenses of speakers from other centres, permanently endowing prizes in chemistry, and organising exhibitions or demonstrations for post-primary school pupils. The following officers were elected: chairman. Mr J. Vaughan; secretary and treasurer. Mr D. J Hogan; committee, Messrs J. S. Pollard, A. Fischer, S. M. Betty, and A. F. R. Adams.
