Small Hauls For Shop Thieves
Thieves entered five shops in Stanmore road early yesterday morning, but found only £2 in one, and about £1 worth of confectionery in another. Entries to the premises were gained by breaking glass panes in the doors of the North Avon Gift Store. 337 Stanmore road, Hines Chemists, 347 Stanmore road, North Avon Drapery, 351 Stanmore road (£2 stolen), and North Avon Delicatessens. 345 Stanmore road (about £1 worth of confectionery stolen). At the Star Catering Service. 230 A Stanmore road, entry was gained through a fan light.
