Churches in South Africa.—The North Canterbury Methodist Synod passed a resolution expressing sympathy with the churches in South Africa. “We publicly express close sympathy with and support for Christian churches in South Africa in their position of conflict and danger, and urge upon our own people the necessity for constant vigilance in upholding Christian principles and basic human rights,” states the resolution.
