Climber Dies.—Mr Robert Oliver Downes, a 24-year-old British teacher and a member of the Manchester Himalayan Expedition, had died of pneumonia, a British High Commission source reported in Karachi today. The expedition of five has been trying to reach the summit of the Masherbrum, 25,660 ft, in the Karakorm range.—Karachi, August 27.
