Ashley Cooper and Neale Fraser (Australia) won the United States national doubles tennis championship today by beating the Wimbledon champions, Gardnar Mulloy and Budge Patty (United States), 4-6, 6-3, 9-7 6-3. In the final of the women’s doubles the defending champions, Louise Brough and Mrs Margaret Osborn Du Pont, beat Althea Gibson and Darlene Hard, Wimbledon champions, 6-2, 7-5. It was the twelfth national doubles championship won by the Du PontBrough combination.
