Ceylon Milk Plant

The Governor-General of Ceylon, Sir Oliver Goonetilleke. today opened a Governmentsponsored central dairy in Colombo which it is claimed will be the first to process sterilised milk in South-east Asia. The dairy, which has a capacity to process about 45,000 pints of milk a day, was financed by grants given by New Zealand under the Colombo Plan.
