Situation: An anti-cyclone covers the north Tasman Sea and a westerly airstream lies to the south of New Zealand. Forecast:— West Coast: Moderate to fresh westerly winds; cloudy and cool, with occasional rain. Outlook: occasional showers, Canterbury: Light to moderate winds, north-westerlies inland, north-easterlies on the coast; weather fair to cloudy. Outlook: cloudy. Nelson: Fresh south-westerly winds; weather cloudy and cool, with some scattered showers about the hills. Outlook: fair to cloudy. Marlborough: Moderate north-westerly winds; fair to cloudy; moderate temperatures. Outlook: fair to cjoudy.
