Mr Barnett Comments On Sly-Grog Case

T. Barnett, today. He was commenting on criticism of police methods in obtaining a conviction for sly-grogging which was mada by counsel, Mr Sou^^US. the “I suggest that if the police had done their duty with impropriety the case could have been defended and then all the facts would have emerged and the Magistrate could' have made his comment,’’ said Mr Barnett “I disapprove of a suspect being persuaded to commit an offence and I do not believe that these methods were adopted,” he said.
