(New Zealand Press Association) BLENHEIM, August 4. Marlborough players failed to win a game against the visiting Japanese table tennis world champion, T. Tanaka, and I. Ogimura in matches played here yesterday. Results:— Doubles.—Tanaka and Ogimura beat D. Rutledge and R. Kawharu, 21-8, 21-7. Tanaka and N. Perry beat Ogimura and R. Sheridan, 20-22, 2220, 22-20.
Singles.—Ogimura beat B. Neal, 21-13, 21-3; Tanaka beat A. Wright, 21-12, 21-15; Ogimura beat Tanaka, 21-19, 21-19.
