The motive power of these new low cost vehicles is what has become known as the TWO STROKE ENGINE. TWO STROKE ENGINE. While this type of engine is not really new, as it has been in use for forty years or more, it is only now when costs have become so heavy to maintain and manufacture the orthodox cars, that the two stroke power unit has been adapted to the driving of low-powered cars. How then does this power unit function? If it has such few moving parts, what makes it so efficient? These questions will be discussed in this column on August 17.
