Aickin. a former General ' Managpr"' of Railways, has been posted- to the Army’s Retired List with the rank of honorary colonel. Mr Aickin served in the First World War and in the Second World War served as a major in the 16th Railway Operating Company in the Middle East from 1940 to 1943. He was awarded the 0.8. E. in 1942.
