BRILLIANT TABLE TENNIS
Japanese In Dunedin (New Zealand Press Association} DUNEDIN, July 30. In brilliant table tennis in the Dunedin Town Hall tonight, the Japanese stars,' T. Tanaka and I. Ogimura, showed why they have dominated the world championships in the last four years. The ability shown in an exhibitiop match at the end of the evening, when each player won a game, revealed that Tanaka and Ogimura had been playing with little purpose when they trounced the Otago players. Glimpses, of exceptional ability enlivened the games in which local players took part, but from the moment the first serve was delivered in the exhibition it was an entirely different sport. As expected, each player won a game in the fast exhibition. Tanaka attacked furiously to take the first, 25-23. but Ogimura delighted with a fine all-round effort in the second game to win 22-20.
