ALL BLACK TOUR OF AUSTRALIA
Mr J. L. Sullivan’s Comment

The recent tour of Australia by the All Blacks had to be kept in its right perspective and not allowed to lull New Zealand into a false sense of security said the chairman of the All Black selection panel (Mr J L. Sullivan) in an address to the New Plymouth Rotary Club tonight. Mr Sullivan said the amended kick-into-touch-rule, under which the All Blacks played in Australia. was probably well-suited to Australian conditions hard grounds and loose forward playhut after watching the Canterbury game he felt the All Blacks had loosened up somewhat and developed a style suitable for playing against Australia, but not against South Africa.
