Melbourne A strong tone was recorded in the investment section, although a few leading stocks dropped slightly on profit taking. Trading volume was heavy, with sales covering stocks in all sections of the market. The silver-lead group was firmer, with Consolidated Zinc adding 2s and North Broken Hill 2s 6d. Other mining was mainly steady on average trading.
