FIVE YEARS’ LOSS OF LICENCE
Three Offences In Three Weeks
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 8.
Percival John O’Brien, aged 45, a welder, was sentenced to five weeks’ imprisonment, with five years’ cancellation of his driver’s licence, when in the Auckland Magistrate's Court today he admitted two charges of driving while under the influence of drink and one of being in charge of a vehicle while under the influence of drink.
The police prosecutor (Mr D. M- P. Martin) said the first driving offence occurred on Saturday. June 22, the second on Saturday, June 29, and the third last Saturday. *
