Bus Fares
Sir, —One hears many complaints about the increase in bus fares. As one who resides on a third section and always makes use of bus transport, I can say that the number of regulars has decreased very much. Most of the support now seems to be on the first and ln
other sections a considerable number of passengers are carried in private cars at a weekly charge for petrol and oil and the owners of these vehicles do not seem to have the correct plates on their cars as they are passenger cars. In case of accident the car owner would be liable for damages to any of his passengers. The carrying of regular passengers by private cars does not seem to be playing the game.—Yours, etc., ONLOOKER. July 8, 1957.
