COMMONWEALTH MINISTERS
Cablegram To Mr Holland

The Commonwealth Prime Ministers have cabled an expression of sympathy to Mr Holland in the illness which caused him to change his plans to attend the conference in London.
i The cablegram, which was sent by Mr Harold Macmillan, reads as follows: “It was a very great grief to me that you were unable to be present at the Commonwealth Prime Ministers’ meeting. You were splendidly represented by Mr Macdonald in all our discussions. The thoughts of all of us were with you. All good wishes.” i In a message to Mr Holland [after the closing of the conference the New Zealand Minister of External Affairs (Mr T. L. Macdonald) commented on the spirit of great harmony which marked th- meeting. “The personal relationships were excellent, and all said the conference was most nseful.” Mr Macdonald said. “I continue to get many expressions of regret at your absence and good wishes for your recovery.” •
