Tenth Round Of Competition

The tenth round of the inter-club billiards tournament has been played. The A grade will now begin the third and final round, and matches will be played on neutral tables. A highlight was the defeat of the leaders, Pioneer, by St. Albans Recreation, in the A grade, which now makes those teams equal with .Richmond, and both are now at the head of the ladder. There was high scoring in all the competition games. Nine out of 17 teams competing scored the possible, three points. Results were:—

A Grade;—Richmond (Cormack 200 (44. 51), Cook 200 (31. 37), Murphy 200) beat R.S.A. II (Gray 131, Garner 120. Hall 167); St. Albans Recreation (Hamilton 200 (37) Cowan 115, Mann 200 (39) beat Pioneer (Higgins 178, Simons 200, Prince 131); R.S.A. I (Collie 200 (30). Stewart 200 (30, 47),. O’Callaghan 200 (61) ) beat W.M.C. (Choat 152, Watson 197, Duncan 138).
