A PRESENT WITH A PERSONAL TOUCH.—The Prime Minister of Japan, Mr Nobusuke Kishi, explains to the United States Secretary of State, Mr J. F. Dulles, a painting on parchment which he presented to Mr Dulles in Washington. Mir Kishi is pointing to the figure of Mr John W. Foster (grandfather of Mr Dulles) helping to negotiate the 1884 Treaty of Shiminoseki. The treaty ended a war between China and Japan.
