Winner On Flat And Over Hurdles

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 26. The six-year-old grey stallion Rejoicing arrived in the Australia Star today from England. By the Derbv winner, Owen Tudor, from Rejoice, he has been imported bv Wright, Stephenson and Company for a Waikato Studmaster. Rejoicing won seven races on the flat in England, and was twice a winner over hurdles. He was successful up to a mile and threequarters and was unluckily beaten in .the two-mile Derby Memorial St fns S dam, Rejoice, winner of four races and narrowly beaten in the Irish Oaks, is a half-sister to Emborough, the sire of the Australian champion Bemborough. She has had three foals, all winners.

Sir Goodwin Scratched Sir Goodwin was scratched yesterday for the President’s Handicap at Avondale on Saturday. Play Prince was scratched for the First Oratia Handicap.—(P. A.)

Ronay Scratched Ronay has been scratched from the Adamson Steeplechase on the second day of the Egmont Racing Club’s winter meeting at Hawera on Saturday.—(P.A.)
