C.J.C. Secretary Honoured
To mark his 25 years’ service as secretary of the Canterbury Jockey Club, Mr F. T. H. Bell ■was presented with a radiogram after the annual general meeting of members of the club yesterday. Mr Bell was an employee of the club for five years before his appointment as secretary.
The presentation was made by the chairman (Mr G. H. Grigg), who said the club had been fortunate in the choice of Mr Bell as secretary.
Mr A. S. Elworthy and Mr D. W>. J. Gould, the honorary treasurer, • also paid tribute to the work of Mr Bell. Mr Elworthy was a member of the committee when Mr Bell was appointed secretary.
