Ileavjr Frost.— A frost of 11.2 degrees, the second hardest in Christchurch this ( winter, was recorded at the Harewood Weather Office yesterday morning. A heavy smoke haze, caused by the cold air keeping smoke close to the ground, covered parts of -the city for most of the morning. ’ Visibility at Harewood was down at times to half a mile, but no air services were interrupted.
