NEXT N.Z. TOUR OF ENGLAND Delay Till 1960

Press Association —Copyright) (Rec. 10' p.m.) SYDNEY, June 26 The International Rugby League Board decided in Sydney today that Australia should make its next Enjlish tour in 1059 and New Zealand in 1960. Under the norma! cycle of tours. New Zealand should have gone next in 1959 and Australia in 1960. ’
Today’s decision was a result of the Australian World Cup victory. It has to be ratified by all nations, but this is considered to be a mere formality. The board secretary (Mr Bill Fallowfield, of England), said Australia had redeemed her playing standard after last year's failures in England. "The board now feds the Australians should tour England and France in 1959,” he added. “England will come here next year and France in 1959 before the Kangaroos are picked for England. “It will be suggested that Australia send a team to New Zealand in 1960 and that the Kiwis come to Australia in 1961."
The next World Cup series will be played in England either Ln September or October, 1961.
