R.N.Z.A.F. TEAMS DRAW
Isitt Cup Match At Woodbourne (From Our Own Reporter) BLENHEIM, June 26. Wigram and Woodbourne Air Force representative Rugby football teams played to a draw at Woodbourne yesterday in the Royal New Zealand Air Force Southern Zone knock-out competition for the Isitt Cup.
After 20 minutes’ extra time had been allowed, the score still stood at one goal each. For Woodbourne, Carr touched down after 20 minutes, and this try was converted. Draffin scored for Wigram in the second spell and this was converted, bringing the score to 5-5. The match will be replayed, this time at Wigram, on a date to be arranged.
