SOVIET ARMS FOR EGYPT
WASHINGTON, June 25. The Secretary of State (Mr Dulles) said today that the United States deplored the recent sale of three submarines by the Soviet Union to Egypt. He told his press conference that this sale seemed to the United States to be part and parcel of a studied Soviet effort to maintain tension and the danger of war in the Middle East by the delivery of abnormal quantities and abnormal kinds of military weapons.
