WELLINGTON LUCKY TO DRAW
Wairarapa Bustle Shield Holders (New Zealand Press Association) MASTERTON, June 12. A sensational finish saw Wellington score a converted try right on time to draw the representative Rugby match against Wairarapa, at Masterton, today. With less than 10 minutes to go, Wairarapa led 11-3, but Wellington scored two ‘fine back tries, and J. Dougan converted the last try to save the game. Wairarapa played its best game for years. Wellington were outplayed in the forwards, and constantly bustled in the backs. Wairarapa led 3-0 at half-time. For Wairarapa, J. Ford and K. Keegan scored .tries, and I. Aitkenhead kicked a penalty goal and converted one try. J. Dougan. J. C. McGibbon, and A. S. Clark scored tries for Wellington, and Dougan converted one. Gift to Scout Group.— The Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association decided yesterday to give £2 2s to the Spreydon Scout Group, which has appealed for funds for a group halt
