Savage Club Korero

The Christchurch Savage Club opened its sixty-fifth season with korero.

Mr J. Moffitt was installed as Great Chief by the past chief, Mr D. Wilson, who was presented with the club’s gold badge of office. A visitor at thb korero was the president of the Kindred Clubs’ Association (Mr A. H. Todd).

Manville Married Again.—A sixfoot blonde showgirl from Texas became the tenth wife of Tommy Manville in a one-minute ceremony today. She was Pat Gaston, aged 26. They were married in the chapel of the Hotel Pierre by Judge Mitchell Schweitzer.— New York, May 5.
