YOUTH KILLED IN COLLISION

Three Others In Hospital (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 5. A young man was killed and three persons were injured when two cars collided on the main highway, two miles north pf Huntly, yesterday afternoon. The dead youth was Barry Russell Newsome, aged 18, farmhand, of Ohinewai, son of Mr W. G. D. Newsome, of 17 Greenfield road, Epsom, Auckland. The injured who were admitted to Waikato Hospital are: F. E. Higgins, aged 18 (fractured right femur, injuries to scalp and elbow), and B. G. Baxter, aged 17 (shock and abrasions), both of Ohinewai, who were passengers in Mr Newsome’s car, and Mrs Low Foon Leong, of Frankton, who was a passenger in the other car, which was driven by her son, suffered two broken wrists.
