A reel-type motor mower is pre-

ferred to a rotary type by the Christchurch Boys’ High School Board of Governors because of the possible danger to pupils. The board chose a reel model for the hostel lawns after a 15-minute debate on the safety factors of the tyo types. “It would give me the Joe Blakes to have young rascals using the rotary type,” said Mr J. H. Pickles. Mrs L. J. Broomfield said she had heard that a third of the recent accident cases in a North Island hospital arose from accidents with rotary mowers. Mr W. C.
