CARTAGE RATES COMMITTEE
Chambers of commerce throughout the country represented users on committees which endeavoured to arrange settlement of claims for increased cartage rates, said Mr R. A. Witbrock to a meeting of the council of the Canterbury chamber. He said the Canterbury Tomato, Stone Fruit and Vegetable Growers’ Association, which had complained publicly against the chamber did not appreciate th< position. It should be told thi facts and advised that it could seek representation on the committee.
