Swimming M. Rose May Compete In N.Z.

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 3. The Australian triple Olympic swimming gold medallist Murray Rose is willing to come to New Zealand to give exhibitions with the New Zealand swimming training squad next January “if he is free." He arrived in Auckland this morning in the Orcades on his way to the United States. The 18-year-old Australian will probably attend either Yale or Stanford University where he will study , business administration. His mother and father accompany him. The New Zealand Swimming Association hopes to bring top Australians here next summer to give in ■ , ternational competition for 25 to 35 New Zealanders in a training squad Rose said that if the training was during the last part of January he was sure Australian swimmers would be willing to come.
