Man Unconscious In Hospital

In spite of descriptions and appeals broadcast by the police, a man on the seriously ill list in the Christchurch Public Hospital had not been identified late last night. The man, a pedestrian, suffered severe head injuries when he was struck by a motorcycle in Cambridge terrace, near Manchester street, at 6.45 p.m. yesterday. He is about 40 years of age, has dark hair turning grey' and reced ing at the forehead, grey eyes, ruddy complexion, a Roman nose, has natural teeth, is about sft Ilin tall, and sturdily built. He was wearing bluish-grey sports coat and trousers and a tartan shirt predominantly green but with some red.

He had not regained consciousness late last night and had not been identified, although several persons had come to the hospital in response to police broadcasts.
