Weightlifting Record Claimed.— A world record in weightlifting was claimed today for bantam-' weight Vladimir Stogov, of the Soyiet Union. With a two hands snatch he lifted 103 kilogrammes (227£1b) which beat the official record of 102.5 kilogrammes (22551 b by Charles “Chuck” Vinci (United States). But Vinci has a lift of 105 kilogrammes (231i1b) which has not yet been officially recognised.—Moscow, April 26.
