BRIDIE WINS AGAIN

Third Success On End

(New Zealand. Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH, April 21. Bridie won her third race on end when she finished brilliantly to win the mile and three-quarters Feilding Cup on Saturday. It was a good performance, as Bridie was checked when Pine Grove came back on her at the half-mile. Three Step was a clear leader into the straight and looked like winning, but Bridie finished far too well, to win going away. Berne battled on for third with Oracle and Pictavia Nigger next. Domitare made no race of the Mangaone Handicap, leading all the way to win by four lengths from Timanah with Golden Roll a fair third. Lucky Glow finished well to begt Postman for fourth. Ths double dividend was £l2 18s for £l. The day was showery and the track was in good order. There was a good attendance, and the totalisator handled £73,205 as against £82,542 last year, a decrease of £9337. T. J. Perawhiti, who was injured when Nile Valley fell, was sent to hospital with a suspected fracture to a bone in his right ankle, and B. J. Clements received concussion when County fell. The medical officer advised that both Clements and Perawhiti would be unable to ride again at the meeting.
