SHEEPDOG'S VALVE TO N.Z.
Proposal To Erect Monument
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 21. A monument to the sheep dog of New Zealand is the object of a group, including Members of Parliament, which has formed a preliminary committee to work to that end.
In a discussion this week of the sheep dog’s value to New Zealand, it was decided to form the committee, which initially consists of the Minister of Social Security (Mr R. G. Gerard) and the Deputy-Leader of the Opposition (Mr C. F. Skinner), . the Member of Parliament for Otaki (Mr J. J. Maher), and the secretary of the Wellington and Hutt Valley A. and P. Association (Mr T. E. Reilly).
